History

Grace Lutheran Church began meeting on November 7, 1942, at St. George's Episcopal Church in Le Mars with 32 members. On May 2, 1948, dedication services were held for a new church that the congregation built at 2nd Avenue and 3rd Street SE.

This building was the home of Grace Lutheran until a new church was built at 1430 7th Ave. SE. This facility was dedicated on April 12, 1981.

Through the years, the church has grown from 32 souls to over 600 souls today. The future looks encouraging and exciting. Grace is currently being served by its sixth pastor, the Rev. Timothy Geitz, who was installed August 2nd, 2009.
