To better instruct our youth in the basics of their Christian faith, we use a program of instruction called "Confirmation." During these four years of instruction, "Confirmands" come together for two hours each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm during the school year for a fellowship meal, for small group time, and for Pastor Time to learn more about their faith. We center instruction around Martin Luther's Small Catechism, which looks at the six chief parts of the Bible: The 10 Commandments, the Lord's Prayer, The Apostles' Creed, Baptism, the Lord's Supper, and Confession and Absolution.
The key to this instruction is applying it to their lives as God's children using small group work, video, discussion, memory work, and life lessons.
Any parent, member or visitor alike, is welcome to join us for one or more nights to see for themselves what the program is like.
