Opening Worship Service

July 21, 2019

On July 21, 2019, Grace Lutheran Church was pleased to host the opening worship service for Grace Sudanese Lutheran Mission, with the Rev. Daniel Mapur presiding as Liturgist, and the Rev. Timothy Geitz preaching. Pictured above are those who attended the opening worship service, attending from Des Moines, Charlotte, North Carolina, Sioux City, Denison, Sioux Falls, and Fargo, North Dakota, as well as those from Le Mars. Following the mostly Dinka language service, a festival meal of traditional Sudanese food was served. Pastor Geitz centered his message on Ephesians 4:4-6 and reminded everyone who came of the fact that we are One Body of Christ, who worship One Lord and Savior of all, who center around One Faith in Jesus Christ, who celebrate One Baptism to take away sins, and who have One Father who is over all and in all! That is the prayer as we move forward together serving our Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To God be the glory!

Dinka language services will be held Sunday afternoons, beginning at 1:00 pm and are open to everyone!
